Small bream, slicks, or gold fish make good flat head bait. I've never fished over lights, so I can't offer any suggestions. Hope you catch a bunch.

Not sure about there .But when fishing live bait on noodles here we set lines 6 to 9' long on noddles with no weight. Those Flatheads are great fish and just remember to not horse a biggun. We use atleast 5/0 stainless steel hooks on 150 to 200# test braided line on our sets.

Beefed up, in the fishing section at arkansashunting.net I started a thread on night fishing over lights.. Should be on the first or 2nd page... Lots of good info there.

Don't know if I'm allowed to direct to other forums, but I see them direct people here quite a bit...

one trick we always used was using coleman lanterns , put a piece of tin foil 1/2 way around the globe as a shield away from the boat (you are in the shade) and another is to remove the globe on these type lanterns. W ith the globe removed is an instant inferno to any and all flying bugs ........zap, they hit the torch, melt and fall into the water .........a feeding frenzy is on the way .....ps, bring an xtra mantle or two for when a june bug hits !! this really works .........
