I fish primarily on reelfoot lake in Tennessee and anybody who fishes there can tell you it's a tourist lake. I'm not a local(hour away) but I've been fishing there weekly since I could walk(35 years) so there are a few spots I call MINE(actually Dad's). Anyway I'm usually the first boat across the lake in the mornings, but on the occasion I sleep past 5 i find rent-a-fishermen in my spots. Usually from Ohio or Indiana and I've found that its fun to watch them and try to keep myself from going over and just sayin " hey you're doin it all wrong the fish are right in the cypress knees you are using to hold you rented boat in place." To each there own, there are plenty of fish for all of us, and on the off chance they haven't scared everything in earshot away, I like to let them see me pull a fish from right where they were throwing softball size bobbers, and as I leave offer them the fish I caught in their tailwaters.

So to all the lurkers, if a guy in a bright blue tracker is fishing behind you and pulls up to offer you something for your live well, hang your head, say thanks, except your parting gift and move on. If you're cordial about it, I might even point you to a decent spot to walk your minnows.
