Used to fish it all the time. Usually in September it gets hot in the Lucky Landing cove..........you can walk across the boats. Most guys just fish next to each other right there. That's the only place I ever caught any decent crappie, or within 250 yards of there. There is a cove up the shore from there about 500 yards that looks like crappie heaven.........the tornado created massive blowdowns, etc. I've yet to catch a fish in it.

I heard 3rd hand that it was 'poisoned' for crappie. I don't know what that means, or by whom, but it's not been worth going to for several years. They have massive bass in it. I saw a great sight last time I was there.........a disabled guy in a cool bass boat holding up a 9 lb'er. I was more tickled for him than if I'd caught fish. But I've never caught them there until Sep/Oct, and I don't know why.
