I wouldn't have left without my money or receiving payment in some other way. Promises from this guy are obviously no good.

I with Nimrod, I not the greatest fisherman here but I be glad to get you on the water for free.
Appreicate the responses guys. Had I known more about this website before I booked the trip, I would have joined back then and gained some of your input. If I wasn't 9 hours away in Kansas, I would take you up on the generous offers. I told him I wasn't getting off his boat without my $100 deposit and he pulled out his wallet and fumbled with it and it had about $8 in ones and a check made out to him from what I'm assuming was another client. He told me that he had deposited his cash in the bank and asked if I had paid by PayPal, which I had. At this point I was near enough to doing something I probably would regret that I just walked away from the situation. I told him that $100 better be back in my account by 8 AM this morning. About an hour later he text me and said that I paid my deposit on 1/29 and that PayPal wouldn't let him refund that far out. He claims he's mailing the check. He then also told me, "I hope you know I just saved you $200." Then the next text said, "No 350." In the hour we had been gone he seems to have forgot that there were 4 of us. I told him that if I was concerned about the $350 that I wouldn't have booked the trip. I completely understand if the fish aren't biting (which we found out wasn't the case, they were catching fish on this lake) but tell me the night before that it's been tough and that I can make the decision if I want to come or not.
Since this was a guide in Arkansas, it sure would be nice to know who it was... I say if the $$ isnt in the account when it was agreed upon, post the name. :twocents
Tell his name........So no one else books him....
I'll post his name when/if the time is right. I'm going to give him a chance to at least get my money back to me before I go public with it. If you want to know who it was PM me with the understanding you don't go public with his name until I do, that's all I ask.
I'd pull a JPJ and ask him if he wanted to take it to the bank! Rofl
