Thread: What Would You Do?

Say you had booked a trip with a guide and it went something like this. You put down a $100 deposit in January, but trip is planned for a Saturday in April so you touch base with guide the night before and he says he'll text you directions soon. About 10:30 Friday night you haven't heard from him so you text him and he tells you the name of the lake you're fishing and just to head that direction and call him early in the morning on the way. You call him early in the morning and he gives you directions to the place. You get to the place and he comes down, doesn't introduce himself, and says let's go. About a 5 minute boat ride later, you pull into a cove with another boat anchored over a brush pile. Guide shuts down the big motor and goes to the front of the boat and drops the trolling motor in. He pulls out his phone and starts fumbling with it. Three minutes or so pass and he says something is wrong. Another member of your party tells him there may be a better chance of it working if it's plugged in. Guide plugs it in, laughs, and goes back to fiddling with his cell phone. Another few minutes pass and he says you need to go back to his place so he can get his remote for his I-Pilot. The whole time he's fiddling with his cell phone he thinks it's his remote for his I-Pilot. You pull the trolling motor back up and he tells you to drive his boat back to the dock. You drive back and he pulls into his slip and tells you that he's sorry it didn't work out, but the fish aren't biting anyway. The guide obviously had no intention of taking you fishing to begin with.
