    Default old town

How muddy is it? The wind muddies it up as much as the rain. Got a fall back spot in white river refuge if all else fails. Anybody been to h lake or escronges?
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

Old Town is in good shape. I was really surprised it's not muddy. Yeah, it's somewhat muddy on the upper end where the creek comes in, but fishable even in the muddier water. Went yesterday and caught several crappie, but most were small. Caught more in the muddy water than in the clear water. Went today and caught a few more, but this time mostly in the clear water, and they were bigger. I usually have a hard time finding the crappie at Old Town, but if I can catch a mess--you could probably do a lot better! Saw lots of crappie being caught on yo-yos, but I didn't see a single catfish on one. You better get down there this week!

I've noticed that I've caught smaller fish down there this year than the usual average. There have been some good ones just but the quantity of big ones I usually catch. I'm going in the morning so I will report back.
