Well, I did see my partner in the front of the boat, do something that involved hanging over the side......in the dark......that I did NOT want to see in the daylight. And that's all I'm gonna say about that!!!

Bumble Bee in the mouth and stung me before I could spit it out! Tounge swole up bad.
When I was a young boy my older broinlaw thought he would be funny and at the end of a day fishing on an old river bed in our 12 boat decided to take the paddle with him when got out of the boat and push me back out with no paddle.
I had a catfish pole with me that was spooled with 25lb line and a good size hook and 3 oz sinker. I cast to the bank and snagged a root and started pulling myself to the bank and yes, you guessed it, the hook came loose and my hook and sinker came straight back at me! The sinker hit my cheek and hook caught me square in the lip. I tried to work it out gently and then finally panicked and ripped it out.
Let me tell you now that sucker bled and bled. Carry the scar of the hook to this day almost 20 years later.

I fished with a guide once that would take every yellow bass we caught and slam it as hard as he could throw on the bow of his fiberglass boat and let it bounce into the lake stone cold dead. I reckon he didn't like them either. As far as pain, I had my young nephew with me an he was trying to cast a rattle trap and forgot to open the bail on his spinning reel. The end of the rod whipped around and I got a nice treble hook buried in my shoulder. I guess if that's as bad as it gets, I can't complain too much![]()
Ouch, the mouth! I have had ratl trap hook me in the ear and a few fish hooks in my arm, but I don't think I could imagine being hooked in the mouth like a fish.
Hooks is fingers by far for me. The worst was a zara spook in my shin that happened after I tried to quick cast to a striper that broke behind the boat. I tried the line trick over and over and it wouldnt back out so i pushed it thru 3/4 inch til it poked its point out and cut the barb off. That last little bit hurt you know. Another one was a dink bass on a baby O that did the wiggle at the wrong time and sunk a very small trebble hook in the joint of my pointer finger way past the barb - Had to make an ER visit on that one.
I have cut my fingers trying to pull loose a snag with braided line several times. You would think I would learn.....
