Default What Has Hurt You The Most In A Boat

I was trout fishing the little red after big browns and hooked into a huge chain pickerel , when I landed the fish he went to squirming and flopping and buried the treble hook from the crank bait I was using deep in my hand and the more he flopped the deeper it went, ended up having to cut the hook off with plies just to get that squirming sucker released, painful for a while!!

Hanging my finger in trolling motor fold up and then falling overboard and yanking it loose, also lost glasses. Other than that it was just another great day of fishing.

    I hate yeller bass too.

I had a 2 lbs bass on one end of a Bandit, and my left index finger on the other. All I had was needle nose. I couldn't get to the hook to cut it. I pushed away from the barb and pulled it out. I did OK until it was out. Then I wanted to puke and poop at the same time. But, it really didn't hurt until the next day. It was numb the whole time I was hooked.

Was fishing last weekend and found some brush and there was a perfect stump to tie up to and fish for a bit. well I came in a little hot with the trolling motor and did not want bump the stump due to the fact the brush was right on top of it so without thinking one bit I put my hand down to catch the stump and stop the boat well catching the stump went great the boat on the other hand did not want stop. Smashed my hand between the boat and stump on top of it being pretty dang cold i would have bet I broke every bone in my left hand.

Them hybrib bass are just as bad as them yeller ones IMO. Ive been tored up by them several time. I have a glove in my boat now thats pvc coated dedicated to the them yeller and hybrid bass as well as catfish. I am surprised no one has mentioned getting horned by one of them.

Unlike white bass, yellow bass are very tasty and there is no limit. I've never caught but two in my life, though.......

As for the thing that has hurt me the most in a boat..............same thing every time..........watching my fishing partner sit in the back and outfish me 5 to 1 every time!

Is was fishing with a buddy on Degray one night running from one spot to the next at about 50mph I had a bat hit me right in the jaw. Killed the bat and about knocked me out. Had a huge bruse and black eye the next day.
