Took the wife for a drive today and somwhow ended up at Lake Conway. Went to Adam's Lake Landing, I believe you can still launch there. Wow, is it low, should be bunching the fish up in the holes. Am going to try it for flatheads real soon. grizzly

Anybody get out there, yet? I really want to go try it, but have no idea of where to go.
I saw a report last week on the news that stated "when the levels reach 5' below normal they would allow it to start filling up". The last time it was drawn down there were huge benifits for fishermen. Mainly the channels were better marked by the local bass clubs. Thanks guys. I heard there was some more of that going on, but I haven't taken the time to find out when so I could get involved. Smitty at Paradise landing is a good sorce for info. The last time I saw him (over a year ago) he was recovering from a serious illness. I don't know if he still operates it or not. I might try Gold Creek some this fall if levels start returning. I estimate the deepest hole you will find on the whole lake right now is around 4'.

I'm going to try it this weekend for catfish now that I have found bait. A local goldfish farm sells culls to fishermen for $2.00 per pound. I am going to try some of the old lakes looking for the deep holes. I haven't been on Conway since I was 13, and that was in the the early 70's. Nothing biting around home so what the heck, I'll try something different. grizzly

I read the "Old Indian Trick" in the Bream forum. I will be droping a jig around those heads everybody places on the channel markers to see what happens.

Those fish heads dry up fast. One of my fishing buds is a chicken farmer. We been talking about hanging onion sacks with chickens inside. The maggots could fall out and chicken would be secure in the tree.He has a steady supply of dead chickens. Have you tried knocking the mayflies off the willows yet ?:D

My weekend was consumed getting one back in college. The closest thing to fishing I've been doing recently, is pitching those flies off the dock and watching the fish come get them. I hope I"ll have some kind of fishing report in a couple of weeks for ya.

Went Fri eve and put out 3 trotlines and stayed till 2:00am. Caught 3 flatheads 30#, 12# & 6#, & 2 channel cats, 10# &5# Not to bad for a short night. My fault, didn't take enough bait to be able to rebait, had just enough for the 1st baiting. Won't make that mistake again. Found a little 5 ft water but mostly 4ft deep. grizzly

I drove by the lake this weekend, didn't look to good for fishing. On the dry side.
