    Here is the ultimate crappie condo. It has been way too hot to fish, and me & a couple of my buddies launched this dock to add to my 24 ft. pier in the back yard. The dock is 12 X 16.

    Funny story is;

    Have a friend that didn't want this dock, & gave it to me. We hauled it from Damascus to Scott. 12 foot wide going down the road. Got it here, did some minor repairs, built runners & put barrels underneath, and here we are!

    Also built the 16 ft ramp to go out to the floating dock, & drove the 4 steel poles into the ground to stabilize everything. The one bad thing is you can't hide this condo. The only way to keep people from fishing this thing is to stay on it!! I think of it as the new living room!!

    That's awesome, Randy. If you see me out there one morning, don't shoot! Your project turned out very nice, except you should have made that pontoon detachable so that you could use it for a nightstalk.:D Is this on Clear Lake? I'll bring some bamboo condo's with me when I come.

    No this is on my home lake, Mound Lake, right behind the toltec mounds. When (or I should say if) we get some water, I will be hitting you up for trip trade off's for here & Little Maumelle or Lake Maumelle. I've got to get started on some sinkable condos. I've been saving ice cream buckets (gallon size) to do some pvc or cane for the river & my lake.

    I will have to say a very hearty thanks to my christian brothers Bill, Ron, Mike D. & Eddie for their assistance in this project. It has been in the planning stages for more than a year now, and I couldn't have done it without their help. This dock cost me a back surgery, so I have a lot of myself into it, but it has a lot of christian fellowship in it also.

    Default Good looking dock.....

    Randy,
    Great job! I hope you remembered to put that 16 foot extension on hinges for rising water. Had a buddy who forgot and what a mess.:D

    Dennis,

    I did. I used the hinges from merco marine. They've got a lot of stuff for docks. Very friendly staff. Overnighted some stuff from them & got it the next day. Quality is excellent, also.

    I also mounted some plates on the float also, so that the ramp doesn't ruin the wood on the float. I'm thinking about putting some lawn mower wheels on it to make it roll smoother.
