Go with the vinyl decking, last longer and easier to install. Comes in different colors and patterns like camo. I believe it is called merideck.

Lowes in Conway has some. Be sure to get the "Hookless". The nap has no loop for the hook to hang.
Just use indoor/outdoor carpet glue. Lowes has it as well.
I have done my boat 3 times now and not to "Ring my own bell" but I have gotten pretty darn good at it.

Arts marine sells several different colors tho they are a little more expensive and personally... I'd rather spend my money elsewhere...

I bought some at Carpet Barn last time for a GREAT price but it is not hookless and can be a pain!

If you need anything else holler!

    Yes!
I was going to say I will never install carpet in my boat again but I didn't want to tell you what to do.
I've had my boat 10 years and done the carpet in it 3 times.

Thanks for the input guys - any idea if somewhere local carries Marideck and the glue required for it?

Merideck is built right here in north little rock and they supply it to cabela's and all the big name stores. Call Jim Newman( who is also a big crappie fisherman) at 590-6473. He will treat you right and has all the supplies to install it.

The Ford dealership in Russellville has a fantastic spray in liner that would go good in a boat
