Well still have the sideways thing going on but here they are guys, todays catch. Morning started off bad as my buddy had a blowout on a boat tire. After we'd stopped for a biscuit and changed the tire, not to mention I dropped a deuce up by the ramp, we spoke to a young man (Mr. Joe is 84yr young) at the ramp I knew who had been having a bit of trouble catching much lately, or least not like we had so I mentioned some colors to try and we were off. We culled several smaller ones fishing along side of him and watched as he landed about a 3' gar on a crappie gear then said good luck as we headed for new spots. We made a long cold trip down lake and wasted our time before coming back to a spot we'd had decent luck yesterday and both agreed our bigger crappie had come from. We finished off the day there and both our limits including one small cat. Buddy caught a drum and I landed a bream but it was catch n release for those species. We had a good mess of fish but had to work for them. As for those talking about the front coming in and how it might affect fishing things seemed slow early on but later they may have picked up about the time the wind halfway died down where we could fish. As we were cleaning them at the ramp I felt it kick to the NE and it got colder so yeah we might have caught em just before the front hit hard to say.
