I like to set a few jugs out and then hunt them on rod and reel. different time of the year when you cast a shad out it never hits the bottom before a cat or striper hits it.The camp host is a rough looking fellow but a heck of a nice guy. he pointed out some real good spots to us. we very seldom come home with less than 30 lbs of fillets for two days of fishing. we did catch 80 lbs. one weekend and those were all caught on rods. man I got to quit typing so much my thumbs are wore out lol!
good luck on the fishing
