It was a very scenic drive in the fall had to stop and take some pic's. man I'd love to move down in that part of the country. and for the tattoo it would be ok with me but some are osu fans lol.
NICE! lmfao...that would be really fun...just wear a cut-off shirt and see who would be the first to notice the 9" tatt that says OU in flames on my arm, lol.

Well, thanks for the directions...I won't know yet for sure my plans, I may come the entire time or may just come one evening with a buddy and then leave the next afternoon and drive back (stay only one night)...he's a guide up here and stays REALLY busy...thanks for info. Any good places to fish around you over in Choctaw? I go Claremore and Skiatook lakes quite a bit, and Grand Lake sometimes.....later...MM

WOW! that sounds good, what city/town is that nearest too? I fish the Arkansas River way up north of Ponca City, by Newkirk, OK (near the reservation) right under the bridge before you go into Kansas, catch a bunch of 20-50 pount blue and flatheads, and a TON of 10-15 lb channel cats, we always go during the alligator gar spawn, so you have to deal with those on the trotlines, but i got several pictures in the water/mud up to my chest holding a trotline up with 2 or 3 gar right in a row, all over 4 ft. long, kinda eery, hahaha!

its actually on the north side of I-40 the town of webbers falls is on the west side of the river about two miles from the interstate. you go through the little town on commercial street the camp grounds and the boat ramp are at the end of the street. 10 bucks with electric 6 without. south of the boat ramp is where the Illinois river comes in to the Arkansas river and there are a few feeder creeks up torward the lock dam thats north about 4 or 5 miles we catchem all up and down the river. I like to set a few jugs out and then hunt them on rod and reel. different time of the year when you cast a shad out it never hits the bottom before a cat or striper hits it.The camp host is a rough looking fellow but a heck of a nice guy. he pointed out some real good spots to us. we very seldom come home with less than 30 lbs of fillets for two days of fishing. we did catch 80 lbs. one weekend and those were all caught on rods. man I got to quit typing so much my thumbs are wore out lol!
    good luck on the fishing
