I never leave my batteries uncharged overnight if I can help it. It isn't good for em. First thing I do when I get home is plug in the charger!!!!!!!

The cart batts BRM speaks of are THE BOMB in trolling batts. My 101 I-pilot pulls my boat at 3.6 turned all the way up and pulling at 1.8 it litterly will pull for days when pulling cranks. For the price and the way they last you will be money ahead in the long run.

BRM are you using two 12 volt batteries on a 24 volt system and is it as good using two 12 volts on a 12 volt system or should you get two of the 6 volt for your 12 volt system?

I use two 12's in series on a 24v system. Most use two twelves in parallel on a 12v system. Two 6's should work tho. It's just not as common to find a GOOD 6v battery when ya need one. I've never done it like that, but there may be someone on here that has.

Great question about the 6v's, sorry I don't have a better answer.

BRM.... Glad you posted that you keep your batteries on charge every nite.... I was told to let mine run down before I charged it by a buddie. I'll start charging mine each nite also, I 've used mine 4 days and still have 3/4 charge....

I don't charge them every night, but I charge them as soon as I get back from using them. I don't wait till the day before I go again. That'll kill em much quicker by doing that. Bout half the life or less. I never run mine all the way down if I can help it, but if I did, I would IMMEDIATELY go re charge them.
