Ashbaugh December 2012
Anyone been to Ashbaugh lately? I'm thinking about checking it out this weekend. Is there enough water to get a boat in? Any recent fishing reports?
If Ashbaugh won't work, I may go check out Lake Charles instead - I haven't been on either of them in several years.

I drove by last week checking ducks on the lake, and I wouldn't waste your gas going to Ashbaugh. The water was 50 feet from the ramp at the sandwich/bait shop. You can launch into the bar pit. Saw 1 boat in there deffinately fishing over Thanksgiving weekend. No reports though.

Lake Ashbaugh is extremely low right now. It is about 8 and 1/2 foot low. We are waiting to get more rain so that we can start pumping the lake back up. I would definitely go to Lake Charles. We are working out there this week and have seen several crappie anglers there. Lake Charles is low but still fishable.

Hey LMB - what you doing this far north. Dont you have ducks down there. Thanks for the info mojo, it saves me some gas money. Ashbaugh is always one of my December lakes and I am glad you gave a water level report.
