    Default Degray

Anybody know when the crappie typically start biting this time of year? Tried last week without a bite. Tight lining a jig in 20-25 ft around brush

Don't know about DeGray, but where I fish, the fish are MUCH shallower, 6-12 ft.

Fishing can really turn on at Degray as early as mid September. However it seems like they are still scattered and aren't holding to brush. We've tried 10-28 feet of water with little success. In the past by now they would be holding on our boo condos in 15-25 FOW. From what I've heard, Greeson & Hamilton are about the same right now.

I think 20-25 is a little too deep right now. I found a few on Ouachita today. They were holding 6-8 feet deep over brush that was in 10-12 FOW. I would think DeGray would be about the same.
