Welcome from Conway Arkansas, home to the, boat eating, trolling motor busting, prop bending, lower unit smashing, stump filled mud hole called Lake Conway.
The above statement is all you need to know in order to go fishing on lake Conway. Well one more thing, watch out for the crowds.
Pre front is awesome fishing, Front over head still good fishing, post front conditions can be very tough, stable conditions are optimal. I don't think minners are needed to catch post front crappie, what is needed to catch post front crappie is time and patients. As far as the best time to go, we'll that one is easy, go whenever you can. There is a reason they call it fishing instead catching. You got to go fishing before you can catch em, so just go and the catching will happen. There is really not to many times that ain't good to go fishing. Crappie fishing ain't no harder than bream fishing or fishing for any other species of fish, anybody can figure it out. Fronts affect crappie the same as it does other fish. This forum will help you but remember what works for one guy may not be the right method for you. Them pesky crappie swim in most every body of water in Arkansas, so pick a lake and dedicate your time to learning those fish, then move to another lake and learn them, and so on and so on. Good luck!!!!
