If you look back at history you will find the same things with the optimax, hpdi's, fitch, etc. Those issues usually seems to be more so with the larger displacement engines and you don't hear many negative comments about the smaller engines such as the 25 and 40hp. However, with todays technology trends i think it would be hard to beat a four stroke. Over the years i have ran traditional two stroke, dfi two stroke, and now four stroke. The four stroke has been my favorite. The manufacturers
