I caught a Catfish once that had something Squirrel size in it's belly. You could see it looked like a Squirrel or large Rat when we cut it open. Just did not check the stomach. We dressed some Catfish in some flood water full of Acorns and another time full of green Persimmons.
We used to catch Bullfrogs and they seem to eat anything from baby Turtles to Crawfish.

During the spring and summer catfishin has my heart, fall through winter its crappie, but I have seen crazier stuff by far come from catfish. Whole 10 to 12 inch skips. Small turtles, birds, good eatin size bream, no rats so far, and no drum. I don't think that too many of gods creatures has them on the menu.I posted one of our big catches on the big fish thread.don't remember seein what he ate other than what was on the line

I prefer to give em to yankees camped at the lake. Afraid they might contaminate my mater patch.

Once caught a fish on a rebel crawfish crank, when i got him in hand i saw another rebel crawfish crank stuck in his throat. Catfish, well everything from ducklings to corn and sunflower seeds.
