    Default On the Menu?

RCC's thread with the lil bream in the crappie's belly got me to thinking. What are some of the strangest things you've found in fish? My experience is crappie are pretty tame as I've only found minnows/shad, small crawdads, bugs, and lil bream. I used to bass fish a lot more when I was a younger man and didn't exactly practice catch and release - poor folks have poor ways lol. Bass on the other hand, I've found all of the above plus full grown mice, plastic worms, small birds, etc. The oddest though was a mussell shell that once I pieced it together it was the size of a cowboy belt buckle. That bass was only bout a pound and came outta Lake Poinsett back when I was in college at ASU.

I caught a catfish that looked like it was about bust with eggs. But when i cut it open, it had a huge rat in it.

Kind of off topic, but a buddy and I found a baby mink in a bull frog. I've also found snakes in frogs as well. As far as the fish, I've found them completely full of food and still bite a hook.

I caught a cat out of the Black River that had a rat in him. My wife has not eaten catfish since

I usually keep bass if they are legal, ain't nothing "poor ways" about it, they taste pretty good covered in cornmeal after a quick swim in Lake Crisco.

they are not "pretty good." they are real good. i've gone from catch and keep to catch and release back to catch and keep and eat.

I Caught A Small Flathead 3-4 Pounds While Spider Rigging On Beaver A Couple Weeks Ago. It Had A Fairly Good Sized Black Bird In It. I Noticed Later Where I Drained My Livewell Behind The Boat Ther Were A Few Feathers On The Grass.

Duckling in a bass. It was not a pleasureable smell either.
