LUCKY-SOMETIMES the only difference between a cotton mouth and a water moccasin is how the name is spelled. water snakes are non venomous and cotton mouths/water moccasins are venomous. the cotton mouth/water moccasin is a mean snake that will practically stare you in the eye and dare you to cross paths with him, a water snake is not that way he is just as scared as you are.
