I sure wish that I could find a good oxbow to fish in that area. I usually don't make too many long trips, and those lakes around there are a perfect driving distance.

    CEB,
I would go down to plum bayou. it's full of cypress trees. it's outside of england, around 5 miles or so. turn rt on 161 when you get to england. there is clear lake on the left, after you get by the england country club, and after that, there is plum bayou. there are signs for they bayou. Clear lake is good also, and there is a pay ramp. it costs $5 to launch there.

I plan to fish plum bayou come fall and winter. That is absolutely my favorite type of water during the colder months. Maybe we could trade a trip.
