Thread: what to do after crappie spawn

Here is what I start doing after the crappie spawn on my home lake. I have a hard time chasing the crappie on my lake, because it's so shallow. I hit the cypress trees we have, but can't always find them. I found these bigmouths on a rock dyke in about 3-4 ft of water. biggest one weighed 4lbs. 8oz. did a skillet release on these boys. The 2nd pic is 4lbs.10oz. caught the same day, in the same place. I was using a square bill crankbait in shad color grey/white. booyah!!

for all of those "catch & release boys", the biggest 4 pounder got released, but the other one we had to fillet out with his friends. I apologize to Bill Dance, Jimmy Houston, Hank Parker & all the other bass pro's. I needed some fish for the freezer, and bass is 2nd on my favorite list after crappie.
