Around 1470 now. Gotta figure out some monumental thing to post for 1500. I remember for my 1000th I was gonna post about catching a fish. This nearly lead to my demise since I was forced to fish in hurricane force winds, with temps in the teens, for hours, to finally catch a fish, so I will never do that again.
Crappie camp is in September so I don't think I will be able to just post 30 times between now and then. However, doing this may be a welcome break from my mindless drivel for most.
I may just have a big fireworks celebration for 1500. I'll give it some thought.

Dedicate it to the papermouth delights we all chase on our local waters, maybe take some pictures of past success trips??
SOMETHING FUNNY!! Rofl
If it will hold cornmeal it's big enough for me !!!!!!!!!
I think they should make a statewide 10" length limit to increase numbers and allow them to growup. Course I see guys taking bass 5, 6+ home all the time that took say what?? 5+ years to grow that big, maybe longer???? I read an article in the AR sportsman about crappie growth rates and they said a crappie that's like say 6-8" one season should be in the 10 to 11" range that following Spring, which is eating size for most folks. Given that 3 to 4"/year growth rate it could take a 15" crappie least 4 years to get that big and we all like to catch em that big, some even call them sized one's slabs!
