Crappie have moved from the river out to the deeper parts of the lake. If anything, I'll just try for brim again.
You will drive right past it on #60 , lots better camping on the main lake than Sunlight IMO. Only draw back in small boats can be the wind in the open water at times.

What kind of campground is it?

I was checking out Carden Point online and it doesn't look like a campsite I can pull my camper into. Looks like its all tent camping. Is there a campground around that area that has camper spots? I remember seeing a sign last time that said Carter Cove. Looked like it might be a campground too.

Carter Cove has several camper sites with water, electric, and bathrooms with showers. They also have a fish cleaning station there. Make one turn off HWY 60 and follow road to campground.

I'm 100% with nimrod on this one I always fish the main part of the lake and very rarely ever go up the river the we always stay a carter cove its a really nice campground but I'll launch at carden point it doesn't have camping but a nice boat launch and is in my opinion in the best fishing u can put in there and just start fishing I've caught limits of crappie there and never fired my big motor up!

Sounds like you may have changed your mind on were you may camp and fish, if you fish the main lake focus on the drop off along the ledge of the river channel, you should find fish there.

Thanks for all the tips guys. We've already made reservations at Sunlight but I think I may drive to the other sites and check them out. We are talking about staying at Carter Cover next time we go up.
