    Default Crappie Nibble tip

Hey guys, I don't know how many of you use crappie nibbles on your spider riggings, but I have found it almost a neccesity. I also had a thought about some of posts from a couple years ago of a thing called the bait pump. It was used to "inject" nibbles inside your crappie tubes. So, after seeing a buddy use it a few weeks ago, I got a 10cc syringe and dumped in some nibbles and use that to put the nibbles inside the tubes. It has made a real difference in my fishing, those with nibbles = fish, those without = no fish.

    You do the math.

Never tried this. How long will it last before you have to do it again? Cause I have to replace after each bite. Been working with different ideas as well, and have learned that you can take a lid off an old jar, place it on the deck and dump a dozen or so there, and let the sun dry em out a little, they stay on the hook lots better this way, and are still just as effective. Plus the jar keeps em from getting stepped on as bad. I love crappie nibbles.Addicted.

They will stay inside the tube for over an hour. I refresh/add a little more after 3 or 4 fish, just to make sure there is still some good stuff in there.

Drill out the tip of the syringe to the max dia. you can. Add a few drops of water with the nibbles when loading them into the syringe this helps the nibbles "push" through when injecting into the tubes. I have been using this system for years and it works great.

Hey oxbow will try that water tip. I used fish formula in with nibbles and man they got tough to squirt out, almost impossible.

Glad they work for you, never saw the need to use nibbles.

Agree with Gooser....Bait Pump works great....I somtimes add a drop or two (not much) of water and it softens it up just a bit.....

I was just saying that as an alternative to a $15 gizmo, and $1-$2 gizmo works just as well, IMO.
