From Toadsuck to Fourche La Fave - Asking the experts
I've been fishing this stretch of the river for a couple years now...in the fall and winter, I've been able to catch'em in a couple of predictable spots...behind jetty, in some of the backwater down around Fourche (which there really isn't that much backwater on this stretch)...
But, when it warms up...I just can't seem to ever find'em. So I'm interested to hear what you folks think...
Are they in there? I've fished the jeddies....the deeper holes behind the jeddies....but just cannot catch crappie in there...
There are some flats where there is some current but still (4-5 fow or shallower) ....and I have seen some huge shad schools on those flats.
I've single pole fished those flats (less than the jeddies)....but I've wondered if you could spider rig the flats? ....
Any way....I love the river...and it's awful convienient to my house.....but it skunks me once it warms up.
That section of the river is somewhat of a long channel.....not a lot of structure...
I think crappie are in there. Would be interested to hear what you guys think....
