Tried every color depth and speed today but couldn't get much to bite.

them darn things are for the birds! i went straight jigs the day before and caught much bigger fish and twice as many! i'll put a straight jig against a minnow anyday. i know they have there moments but not worth the money or time in my book.

Old blue and luvpt were kind enough one day to show me there setup and the rest is history. I believe knowing the water is what makes many people successful. Gotta say I haven't fished a minner in a long time. BRM says he is gonna get me to fish one only time will tell. 90 percent of the fish live in 10 percent of the lake. If you ain't in that sweet spot you ain't gonna catch.

This thread has attracted some big time fish catching folks. Please do not include me in the above since I am merely making an interesting observation.

    Congrats on post 1003 Steve.
