I never see anyone talk about Lake Catherine on here. Anybody ever catch any down there? I was reading a magazine at the Dentist's office the other day that had Lake Catherine listed as one of Arkansas' hot spots for Crappie. I think I might spend some time getting familiar with it since it's pretty close to me. If anybody has any useful tips I'd sure appreciate it.

Look for brush or lay downs in state park pocket or couches pocket across from park. Not much visible structure so lay downs are a good choice unless you have some descent sonar. My neighbor caught 37 crappie yesterday on minnows. I have lived on Catherine for over 30 yrs and it has some SLABS!

Thanks guys. Gonna give it a try in the morning. Taking my 12 year old daughter with me. Don't have a fish finder yet, but were gonna see if we can't figure something out.
Well we managed to catch a few today. Had another great trip with a very lovely young lady. Thanks again for the info. We caught 12 crappie & 8 bream. Caught them in the large bay across from the state park. Caught em fishing around lay downs. Lots of fun.
Thats what its all about. Good job guys on CC for helping this man and his daughter make a memory. I'm impressed
