White River Refuge

My son and I made a trip to White River Refuge at Ethel today. We were going to H Lake but only made it to Columbus Lake. Water was over the road and it was flagged off. So we put in Columbus and my son caught 3 bass and I caught only 1 crappie. Water was coming into the lake. Found a spot where the water was coming into the lake and I missed a couple of crappie. The Rangers then drove up and told us they were going to close the gate. There was 2 campsites that were going to have to move out. Water must be on the rise again. So if your headed that way may want to call before you waste a drive.

Thx for report when do they open and close it normally

I think they open it at first of March but unsure when they close.

Used to tear 'em up at "H" Lake. But, like you said the water had to be right.
