    Default Fought the winds

Got a chance to go with a fellow friend yesterday. We left at noon and battled the winds. Took a while to find the fish as this was a private reservoir we havent fished in a while. The water temp was 59 degrees. We trolled 10 fow and caught fish in 7 foot range. Scary thing was we couldn't keep the brim off our jigs. Man 3 and 4 of them fiesty dudes can make for a battle at the same time. Lures of the day were bg baby bass and midsouth silverfish on 1/8 roadrunners. We ended up wih 30 crappie , 4 bass, and 15 brim. A good mixed box to get the grease dirty. Oh and a 30lb drum lol. What a battle on a 16 ft rod.

Nice catch. I'm sure that 30 pound drum stretched your string pretty good. That had to be a blast.

Put your glasses on , it is a Gaspergoo or a plain old Drum. Looks like fish are turning on all over. Good catch Bowhunter.
