That place can be hit or miss. I haven't been this year so I have no report but when they are on you can load the boat in no time flat. Memphis slab is always on them horseshoe slabs. Maybe he will chime in with some info.

Has anyone been fishing Horseshoe Lake lately? It is only about 2 hours south of me and the pictures on the Crappie.Com calendar look interesting. Internet info is very limited.

I heard shallow, but I haven't been all year. I called a friend of mine that lives there, and got the shallow around the piers report.

Yeah me too big bill but it hasn't panned out for me. Last year was tough out there for me. But this year I will get my revenge on them horseshoe fish.
Have you not been fishing Reelfoot?
I've been getting a few at the shoe in about 5 feet of water under the piers. Caught some big females Friday and Saturday. There trying to get started, just gotta find a way to dodge that strong wind. The shoe is diffucult to fish with a south or west wind.
Thanks for the report memphis slab. I've been wanting to get over there and give it another shot but I've been hitting old town instead. Maybe I'll see you over on the shoe one of these days. That place has had my number lately.
