Jigging with out a quark usually consists of catching fish on bottom that may be layed up in a rock pile of some sort.(atleast thats the only way i have done it,there may be other ways) basically how i have always done it is throw it out, let it sink for howeever long, then reel it very very slow. Thats how i have always done it although there are most likely other ways that i am not familiar with
