    Question AR River

Has anyone been on the river or creeks lately?

The crappie have slowed down to a crawl. I was on the Little Maumelle last friday. I also looked for some bream bedding activity, but no luck yet.

Anybody ever fish those little ponds at Cooks Landing? I saw a flat bottom out in one of them on Sunday, and it looked like they were spider rig'd for crappie. Also saw a guy with a brim in his hand. There were lots of folks along the bank fishing the northern one, but I didn't have a pole with me to try it out.
    I think I got one...

    Default Cooks Landing

CEB - Cooks is on the other side of the I-430 bridge. Cross the bridge, take the Crystal Hill exit, then take the first right. It's located by the lock and dam on the north side of the river. Haven't been over there in several years and I'm not quite certain where the ponds are that are being referred to.

You can't miss them on the right as you're heading towards the dam.

Just keep an eye out for the half mile long section of powerlines that has like 5000 hooks and bobbers hanging off of it. The first time I saw it I almost drove off the road into the ponds.
