Only fish worse than Trout are Grinnel (aka Bowfin, Cypress Trout) for eating. Them Trout rot about as fast as Shad, probably make good Catfish bait. lol lolOriginally Posted by LA yard dog
We always said to cook Trout a fresh pile of cow dung wrapped over Trout tossed in a bed of coals till done. Remove the dung , toss Trout in fire , eat baked cow dung.

the next time you catch a drum cut open the top of head between eyes there will be a white rock in there with a un even number on it !!! i have a whole set . 1-3-5-7-9 most of the rocks are about the size of a nickle a lot depends on size of fish.

That's how I've done it for years!Drum Recipe = get a piece of yellow pine 2x12 two inches longer than the Drum. Lay whole fish on the 2x12 and bake at 350 for 4hrs. When done take out of the oven , throw fish away and eat the 2x12 !! MMMmmmm
