Not sure about the coon tail moss xring. Big clear lakes are intimidating and tough to fish. Crappie move around more and spook easier in my unprofessional opinion.

I haven't seen any moss in Ouachita or DeGray in a few years. I don't know where or how to fish Quachita anymore.
Someone mentioned Shouse Ford as a likely spot to fish. That and Arlie moor are my two favorite haunts in Degray.

Well I hit Arlie Moor today and tomorrow I may hit Shouse Ford area. Days like we had today and they should start think about moving up a few feet, course it would take several days in a row like this and we all know this time of the year that won't happen. Old man told me once though, if you see them on the finder fish for them at that depth, they may or may not be crappie. If you don't see them on that graph though chances are they aren't there. I guess moral to the story is watch the graph and let it find them for you...I've had luck doing just that.

When I find them stacked up under my graph and they will not bite, I have to repent later on.
I forgot to mention to fish which ever side of Got island the wind will let you fish.
