    Default Degray and ouachita

Ok I am getting discouraged. I have always caught fish in oxbow lakes but we moved and Degray is our closest lake. Now I can't catch a cold on Degray let alone a crappie. Anyone willing to share some winter tips to a Degray rookie? My 8 year old son thinks I suck at fishing now.

You need to contact AgriHawg on here. He and his students have been dropping bamboo condos in Degray for about 2 or 3 years. He's been good to share coordinates of all of them to anyone who asks. Might be a good start. Good luck! Thumbs Up

Forgot to tell you welcome to the site from Conway! Lots of good folks on here, many of them who are more than willing to share and help. I feel sure some folks familiar with Degray will chime in here and restore your "hero" status in your son's eyes! Thumbs Up

Send me a PM containing your e-mail address and I'll send you a file of waypoints to Bamboo Crappie Condos. Last count we've dropped almost 250 condos into Degray! I'm not sure if the crappie are biting near brush right now or not. It's been a few weeks since i've been on the water. What i've been hearing is that only a very few are having much success crappie fishing right now....but that info's a couple weeks old too.

Thanks for the welcoming. These big ol clear lakes are intimidating.
