i do the same as cowboy and there is no problem what so ever. my rope is about thirty feet long and i tie it to the winch handle when unloading. if you take it real easy and just float your boat off and wait til the slack is out you can ease up enough to get out and gently pull your boat to shore. it is the loading that can get tricky and dangerous if you walk the plank to hook up and crank it on trailer. in the summer time i just wade out there and get it. winter time calls for my knee high snake boots on the lakes i fish, maybe hip boots if you don't have a very good ramp...........

I appreciate all your replys,,and some mighty interesting ideas brought up. I'm going to ponder the situtation before I start my welding machine....my lead off assistant is so busy with Honey-dos these days that I have to work alone...lol

When I get it built,,I'll take a picture and get my assistant to post it...lol

Had one good applicant in my search for woman help...but she drew the line on staying on bank fishing and wanted me to buy the minners.....where have all the good women gone???? lol

I see a lot of women hanging around bait shops wanting guys to buy em minners. Most of em have a handle bar mustach better than mine, and smell like catfish bait.
I wouldn't let em my boat, there a little on the ruff side. The ones I seen would have to use a weed wacker to get the hair off them legs.
They can't catch a crappie anyway.

Oh,,this one was purty enough, but my boat is only rated for 575 pounds,,that and she used black flag for deodorant, she had the hair on her legs braided in corn rows...., rather attractive in her fishnet stockings....and would have only needed to shave her upper lip and chin to be "PLUM PURTY"
