I connect my launch rope to the wench strap hook. Leave the wench unlocked so when I pull out the wench unwinds a little and doesn't pull the boat up too fast. Then I grab the wench strap and pull the boat to shore by hand. I did have a trailer that was custom made with coated steel webbing (not sure of the technical term) welded to the trailer that gave a nice flat surface to walk on. The holes let the water drain when it rained.

Your only other option is to find an old woman with good knees that loves to fish. She can set you up a step ladder, put the ladder back in the truck and back you and the boat in. You can leave her a rod and reel so she can fish from the bank untill you get back to the ramp then she can load the boat while you count your fish. What would be wrong with that??
    It ain't nuttin but luck.

Jerry Blake used to have an older boat that he made a walkway on his trailer. He might have an old picture of it. He posted it for me some years ago. It was a good design.

I took some 2" angle and welded it from my axle to as close as to the tongue I could get, then boarded it up for me to walk on.

IAt the time it seems the best solution is the rope trick but I understand why you don't want your boat to grind on a concrete ramp. I dont know for sure if they make a keel protector for an aluminum boat or not. If they do, that might be the answer. I use a rope on NImrod a lot when it is high water and you can get pretty good at unloading after a few times. AS long as you don't do like I did the last time I was there and tie both ends of the rope to the boat then push it off.
    It ain't nuttin but luck.

Long rope and hip boots will solve your problems, I think.
I use the long rope trick, but I hold the rope out my window while backing down, and once the boat is off the trailer I pull the trailer up out of the water and stop the truck, get out and pull the boat by the rope by hand over to the side of the ramp.
    It's very fast and safe.
My boat is aluminum and has a thick ridge in the middle on bottom, so I'm not to worried about it, if it messes it up it's a good excuse for my wife so I can buy another one....hehe.
My problem is when loading the boat I have to pull so far down into the water I get my feet wet gettin out. I now have a topper on the truck bed, and can't crawl in the bed and jump out like before.
That's why I use hip boots now when loading up by myself.
