I would troll crankbaits on the flats. I am sure that creek will chime in. Look for his post. He got me started at Greers. I fish the south lake.Good luck. Its one beautiful lake.I will be there this weekend but up in a tree.

There is submerged standing timber in the pockets on south side of the lake east of Choctaw as well as on the west end of Sugar Loaf Mountain. There is also some good fishing in the fork around and upstream of Choctaw Marina. Hope this helps.

Trappie - be careful with the CRANK, its a expensive habit. Its about the only way to fish Greers. You never know what you will catch.

It's been many years since I lived near there but trolling with crankbaits is how we always did it too....

I made my $300 (I think) investment a couple of years ago after reading Creek's post on his success with cranks. My wife still wants to know what the heck a Creekslick is. maybe she will get to meet him in March.
