    Default Maybe last trip today

Well I got off work a little early and loaded the boat up and down the road for a quick fishing trip. Spent about 4 hours on the water and had a good relaxing fish. The fish moved from the other day just a little but was able to locate again. I caught around 40 or so and kept a box with enough for tomorrows dinner. I also managed to hook a MOBBY DICK today, well at least I thought he was. I battled this big old buffalo for 25 minutes on a B and M 16 foot trolling pole and managed to win it. Anyways had a good time and it is now time to get the bow hunting gear ready.

Good catch. Yep, bow season starts Saturday. I'm ready. It looks like the weather is going to be pretty good for the opening day. Sometimes I combine a hunting trip with a fishing trip in the afternoon because it usually hot in the afternoon this early in the season. Deer and crappie. That is a good combo. Good luck to you this season and be safe.

Thanks LB you too and wear them safety belts. I see people every year here who fall out stands and get broken backs and legs. I personally have fallen and thank goodness for safetybelt. I was using a homemade climber and the bottom fell out from under me. Lesson learned don't used home made POS. Always keep the bottom and top section tethered together, it come with the straps for a reason.

Nice catch! That Buffalo not the best eating like the Razorbacks (Smallmouth Buffalo) , us commercial fishermen call them Gourdheads (Bigmouth Buffalo). Still fun to catch on light tackle. Guess you got a big racked buck tied out already for Saturday ?
