    Default GPS app for iPhone?

Just wondering if any of you guys could recommend a good GPS app for iPhone to use for fishing? I am wanting to dowload waypoints and use phone to locate them on the water. Thought some of you might have some helpful advice or tips.

    Thanks in advance.

Just go to your apps button and go to seach feature and type in Marine GPS and that should get you to several to choose from.

I just bought the Navionics USA app, and it is the stuff!!!!! HD on most lakes in the US!!!!! 9.99 and it works just like the cards in my HDS units. Really even better because it overlays an Aerial photo before it changes to the topographic lake map. Also has waypoints, trails and a neat distance marker to let you how far of a boat ride you will have from anywhere. Can look up the lakes from home and study the contours. Really nice app.

I also use the MotionX GPS. It also works good. I used it last year while huntin, marking trails, scrapes, rubs, etc.

Thanks BigRiverMarine those were the two on my shortlist and was hoping someone might have a review or knowledge of them. I assume the Navionics is the better of the two? Pretty user friendly?

I have used the Google Earth App, and was able to link to Arkansas game and fish commission's database to have all of the brush piles they have put out. Only helpful if you want to fish a lake that AGFC has put brush on, but very helpful in that case.

Yeah, really easy. If used for fishin, the Navionics is the only choice with lake contours that I'm aware of and it is Nice!!! I like the MotionX on land because of the google or bing aerials. Combined they are about 15 bucks. Lots cheaper than a GPS!!!! They will use battery if you keep the location services on. Need a 12v outlet in your boat, or 4- wheeler.
