many, many years ago i fished a river run over there and it may have been this one. i just remember there was a man and his wife and they had thousands of hummingbirds in their yard every year. it may have been mr samples. the name rings a bell. seems like he had a really small bait shop down by the launch where you paid him.

That sounds like Ed's Camp on Midway.

dang, thanks billy, you know brain cells are hard to maintain when you reach geezer-ism, which i did five or six years ago. my boys were around 8 and 12 at that time and there was always a youngster around 16 or so waiting on you to help you unload your boat for a tip. my boys, being the little wise acres they were, nic named him junior samples. boy i got some great memories fishin with those two clowns.

That was all we caught between the time we arrived and dark. They were good until they cooled off. You can get a big honkin fillet off the side of one of those cypress troutsRofl
