    Default Soap

On the advice of a friend I tried a bar of that plain Dial soap gold to get the fish smell off my hands. It worked great, I couldnt detect even a hint of it after i scrubbed up with it. just thought Id pass that along

Any tips on getting the smell out of the cooler?

By the way, it is a small cooler.

i know this is going to sound crazy but it works use 7 charcoal briquets and close the lid for a few day the briquets well absorb the smell or you can take some fresh ground coffee about a cup full a throw it in the cooler close the lid in a few day smell should be gone coffee will aborb the smell as well!!!

Ive thrown in a few dashes of bleach and filled it with water from the hose to stir it up some then let it sit about an hour and thats worked for me. Make sure to rinse it out good when youre done.

Believe it or not you can put wadded up newspaper in there and change it out every couple of days.

That's what I do. My 48 qt fish cooler is washed filled with water add 1/2 cup bleach. Leave in the sun a few hours then dump and rinse. No smells left either.

Let me see if I have this figured out. Charcoal, coffee, bleach, or catch better smelling fish.
