I have mounted 4 from Brewer over the years with the smallest weighing in at 8 pounds. I moved to that area about a year after they opened it for fishing and fished it a minimum of 1 day per week almost every week. It was not unusual to catch 100 bass per day back then. What a fishery it was then.

Yellowjacket, There are some cats in there that will pull your jug to the bottom
i never caught a small crappie there. i know a guy with some piles marked on gps. might try sat morning
My brother ran a few limblines and a couple trotlines in Brewer this spring. He caught some dandy's, several 20lb+'ers, but they were terrible tasting. Even the smaller blues (2-10 lbs) were terrible. I figured they woulda tasted better seeing that Brewer is Conway's drinking water.
All those piles of trees that were pushed up when it was built back around 1984 have started to rot down now. The water tastes a little like wood, and City of Conway couldn't care less if anyone even goes over there any more. I talked to city about putting some brush, and even pvc in places and got told quick, they didn't want it. I haven't limited out on Brewer since 09. Last couple of years the Crappie have been few, and skinny.
