    Just went outside. It felt like a blast furnace. Dead or dying bumblebees all over the ground! There's been a small stray dog hanging out on the porch at a vacant place next door. It ran off when I walked up but it didn't have a drop of water! I filled it up 2 bowls of cool well water.

    I held a thermometer outside at Newhope yesterday at about 2 pm it went to 115 F. Newhope is on hwy 70 between Kirby and Dierks.
