    Here water is usually off color and baitfish are big. The larger profile of the umbrella is not the only reason. I perfer heavier jig as I tight line. The Umbrella tube will accept a 1/8 oz round head jig inside. You pop the hook eye through and tie on line, you will have to cut line to replace tube but it lasts much longer. Not unusual for me to fish more than a day with one unless I break off. The heavier jig is easier to unhang too. I pay more for the tubes but save on the leadheads as unpainted round heads are usually cheap. Sure beats paying upwards of a dollar for hand tied baits.

    Hey nirmrod try super glue on the head collar. I use mine for a long time. The midsouth super tube is close same size as umbrella not same but for price it may be worth it.

    It's cheaper and less trouble for me unpainted heads and no super glue mess. The tubes have to be replaced half the time because they are shredded and roughed up before they slip down when pushed over the leadhead.
