Hey Nimrod, I was trolling in the area where the road runs by lake. back north from Carters Cove along the channel. I saw plenty of tops but still like to troll. Wanted to make it back out today but didn't happen. May try again tomorrow because Wed. I have to go to Houston. Will get to be at NASA, Johnson Space Center July 21st to watch the last landing of Atlantis. My Neice's husband will have the honor to be the last Flight Director to land a Space Shuttle. He got me a security clearance to be in the viewing room behind the control room (too cool to pass up). Guess I will be back at it next weekend if things are ok at home when I get back. I drive a black 2010 F350 ford and have Lowe 16 ft boat. Would love to meet up sometime if you see me on the Lake. Talk soon. DD

    Trophy King,
If you were fishing with your wife, I think we were fishing in the same area. May have seen you. 20 years ago when I fished Nimrod it was in in that same area. haven't been on Nimrod in a long time. Hope to bring my wife on a trip before long. I know she would love it. As I told Nimrod I drive a black 2010 F350 Ford and have a Lowe 16 ft boat. If you see me on the lake, would love to meet up sometime to say hi

Must been east cause Carter Cove is on north shore. You can see hwy #60 on the main lake west of Carden point.

Ha. you know I have fished Nimrod starting in the 80's and have always had in my head because of the long drive down from Hwy 10, the lake ran N & S, even after taking pic's much like yours of the setting sun at the end of the lake. I was east of Carter Cove, just west of Carden point. Please don't share I was havin an ID 10 T moment for years LOL. On a different note I gave my new 3 month grandson (Luke Merritt Luceketta) his first fishing lesson today on how to hold and reel in a pole. also informed him lake Nimrod runs East and west and he should not forget that just in case I do. Can't wait till his Momma give me the ok to take him on his first fishing trip...can never start them to young... see attached pic
