When I get off work I am going to a deep clear lake to try trolling for crappie. Give me some advice on what depth/series crank bait to pull, and at what gps speed. also what colors?

I believe RCC hit the nail on the head. Might try some shad colors also and I always have aleast one awesome pink in the water.

Ok, I showed up to find the lake muddy brown. I also discovered my boat goes 2.4 mph at slowest speed. I did not get one strike all evening.Oh well, better luck next time.
ok, I will try that. I actually thought about plugging the overflow on my livewell and pumping my boat full of water to see if that would slow it down. Then, I thought better of it and just fished for fast crappie. Apparently there wasn't any of those where I was trolling.LOl!
Try using your trolling motor. Mine on my Basscat pulls it at about 2.1mph and burns a lot less gas!
